Here's A Way To Protect Humans On Mars

Well In the last post  we talked about the deadly radiation on the planet Mars  but after a long research we finally found a way to save astronauts from the radiation on Mars or on a manned mission to mars

Well after further reading and understanding the Mars Cosmic Ray Environment Map and radiation dosage map(pictured above) I found that the estimated no of time a cell nucleus would be hit by high energy cosmic ray particle ranged from 2 to 8. The lesser hits like 2 or 3 per year were moderate and 7 or 8 hits meant high risk but one thing I noticed was that the region of Utopia Plantia and the Tharsis Montes where the elevations are very low around -5000 to -7000 were in the map but the estimated no of time a cell nucleus would be hit by high energy cosmic ray particle was not given for these regions and these regions were in black color which means that the cosmic ray particle hits in these region was less than two but the radiation dose in these regions in rem(Rontgen Equivalent Man) was blue in color in the second map that means the radiation dose here would be 10 rems as I have wrote in the pervious post and that would increase the chances of cancer by 4% in 10 years that means on spending 70 years on mars a person would have a 28% risk of cancer during his life time and 22.5 percent of deaths were caused by the cancer in USA or may be more but we take the percent to be 22.5 while on mars the chances of having cancer would be approximately 28% but on establishing the colonies on mars of 1 million humans if we take the rate of deaths due to cancer at the time when colonies would have been developed on Mars to be 10% then 28%+10=38% of deaths would be due to cancer on mars but the radiation also gets doubled because mars does not shields against solar flares so chances increases to 50 to 60% or possibly 80% meaning if human colonies gets established there without protection from radiation then the humans would surely suffer from cancer but here's a way to reduce the risk of cancer on Mars

Well if an habitat is built underground on Mars then there would be very low radiation rate allowing humans to live on Mars or if NASA gets success in finding a material to protect astronauts from the martian radiation,a third way is that the habitats can be built inside the lava tubes on Mars but these tubes are found only in the volcanoes and may contain ice but then we have to change our landing site from Utopia Plantia To somewhere else but there is a biological and a cheap i.e. low costing way to shield humans from martian radiation but I will write about it in my later posts but if you want it early then please share this post.
