This is the place where humans should live on Mars || Landing Site 2
Well guys thank you for landing here on my Mars Colonization Blog and this post is about where humans should built there base camps on the planet of Mars which can become habitable after doing some terraforming on the planet allowing plants to grow and humans to live there.

Well in the 2nd landing site on a Mars mission if humans cannot land on the Utopia Planitia region of Mars that is our first proposed landing site then the second landing site can be Hellas Planitia region of Mars at 42'S 70° 00'E on the planet of Mars which is a vast impact basin and the one of the largest known craters in the solar system.
The Hellas Plantia has glaciers of water ice in the eastern region of the crater as suggested by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's SHARAD radar and this is a plus point and this water ice can be used for drinking by the astronauts and also for watering the plants which in turn will produce oxygen inside the Habitats before terraforming and on the planet after the terraforming of the planet Mars, but what about radiation well the radiation in the region is actually lower than the Utopia Plantia region reducing the risk of cancer and other diseases and the atmospheric pressure in this region of Mars is 1.16 Kilo Pascals and is close to the lowest point water can exist if the temperature is right though water cannot exist in liquid form in the region for a long time because the temperature in this region is slightly above zero degree Celsius that too only in the late afternoons making it impossible to allow water to exist on the surface of mars for long time.
Tongue Shaped Crater in the Hellas Planitia where ice may exist beneath the soil
Though the region's atmospheric pressure may allow water to exist in liquid form for a short time but it is very less than the Armstrong limit 6.25 Kilo Pascals
However,This second landing site is much more better than the first and astronauts on a maned mission can also built there base camps in this particular region of Mars which has some conditions which may allow water to exist on surface for short periods
